Location: Bucharest, Romania

Perform, lead and develop the Finance function of the country to ensure an effective development of the company value through excellence in Management Accounting, Tax/Treasury, Business Control, Investment Activities and Risk handling – applicable for both, existing business and any additionally acquired business.

Management Accounting
Ensure effective accounting for the country to safeguard company values.

Ensure compliance with the company policy and procedures, IFRS, tax requirements, securities and exchange regulations (if applicable).

Develop and integrate new processes and procedures when appropriate;

Implement, develop and maintain necessary financial systems to ensure high-quality accounting;

Ensure internal control on high quality level. Perform regular audits in order to monitor the implementation of the policies and procedures. Responsible for local audit process;

Ensure clear and transparent communication about company performance. Deviations to be explained clearly and communicated to corporate;

Ensure corporate legal matters are in compliance with country regulations;

Responsible for transfer pricing issues in the country and compliance with regulatory as well as group requirements..


Ensure effective development of the company value through performance measurement (incl. balance scorecards) and propose directions for improvement in country performance and clinic operations.

Perform ad hoc studies with the aim to improve company values. Perform analysis required by corporate.

Ensure efficient budget/forecasting and strategic plan processes. Deliver the information requested from corporate with highest quality (time/financial components etc). Prepare the plans/budgets in close cooperation with the Country Manager.

Responsible for driving working capital improvements in the country.

Provide finance guidance and training to explain and educate non-financial employees (e.g. key performance indicators and financial objectives).

Tax & Treasury 
Ensure high professional standards in the tax and treasury operations in the country
Procedures and processes in the country to be compliant with the Group’s Treasury guidelines.
Ensure compliance with local regulations.

Growth Agenda:
Support the business development activities in the growth of the business. Evaluate acquisition targets and investments; perform financial due diligences and advice senior management of risks and contingencies of the growth targets.

Work together with both the local Country Manager and corporate Business Development function to develop deal structures and valuations of potential add-on businesses
Responsible for the financial aspect of the integration of new business (risks, financial integration and legal matters).

Profile of the ideal candidate:
University degree in Business Administration or similar;

Minimum 6 years relevant working experience – preference in a wide range of  disciplines within Finance such as Accounting, Taxes, Treasury and Controlling,

Audit experience will be preferred;

Experience in a leadership role and preferably working in an international environment reporting to corporate outside of own country;

Knowledge and experience of introducing a new IT system from a finance point of view. 

Ability to establish collaborative working relationships within all levels of the organization, as well as with external customers, service providers, payors, etc;

Positive, proactive approach to problem solving and impediments.  Mentors and motivates others to understand this approach and to do the same;

Effective ability to lead people and projects;

Diplomacy and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive issues;

Requires strong analytical skills, ability to identify, define, and solve problems rapidly and to think and plan strategically;

Requires demonstrated expertise in planning, budgeting, and project management directed toward achievement of annual, long-term and strategic business plans and goals;

Oral and written communication skills are required, as well as superior command of written and spoken English language;

Previous management experience in the specific functional area required;

Ability to manage a corporate-wide function in multi-divisional environment, including problem resolution and consensus building between diverse management groups.
